Guest guest
You girls are going to have too much fun. I'll have to make sure they don't put me and my dad in a room next to yours (just kidding). The original biopsy I had in 1997 was from my right calf. Go figure!! The weakness was in my upper legs but what did I know back then. What's funny is they put me in the operating room and knocked me out cold. It's what I expected for the biopsy on Tuesday but I hear I'm meeting the surgeon at 8:30am and he is doing it at 9:30am in his office at UCLA. For all the " care " they took for the original biopsy I'm now finding out that electron microscopy was not done, and the sample was noted to have been prepared poorly. This time it's going from me to the microscope when it's nice and fresh. This conference is going to be a blast if Vicki, Teddi, and others live up to their craziness! :-) Lynn, I only experienced being very sweaty and speedy on higher dose prednisone (about 60mg). Now I'm just sweaty, and a bit more hairy in the wrong places. lol Regards, BillG Camarillo, CA Re: Ooops > > > Teddi... I think I'm not to bright!!!!! I'll try anything once...LOL > Do you think we will get ROOM service????? > > Vicki _________________________________________________________
Guest guest
Bill....Did you have the orginal biopsy done at UCLA? I can't believe they took it from your Calf muscle. That's odd. My own biopsy was also sent to UCLA lab. More for teaching I think. I can't wait for the conference and to meet you and your dad. I was sitting here tonight wondering how I'm going to keep up with all you guys... I think most of you will have your scooters or wheel chairs.. I'm resting from now until Thursday when I pick up Teddi. We all should have a fun time. I see on the BB that some people are scared to fly now. I hope they still come as I think now is the safest time to fly. Take care, Vicki
Guest guest
Vicki, The original biopsy was taken at Los Robles Medical Center in Thousand Oaks, CA. It was sent to UCLA. That was the mistake. Should have sent me down there. They did a crappy job of preparing and freezing. The report said frozen sections were not good. Don't worry about keeping up with me. I don't get around too well. Will have a walker for short walks and wheelchair for lectures and meals. I don't even trust getting up from chairs with arms anymore. You'll see... I have quite a strange way of heaving my body up. I'm 6'2 " you know. But only weigh about 150#. Bill Re: Vicki & Teddi / Muscle Biospy > > > Bill....Did you have the orginal biopsy done at UCLA?
