Guest guest Posted August 22, 2005 Report Posted August 22, 2005 Debbie,I don't know you, but have you ever had gallbladder problems? What you're describing is almost exaclty what happened to me when I had to have surgery to remove the gallbladder. It was close to bursting. I was to the point where I could not eat, nor sleep I was in so much pain.I hope you get the help you need soon. Kelliraisenette2002 wrote: Hi Everyone! Thanks for all the responses. I really needed them today I called my GI for an appt and it didn't matter how sick I was or that there is a baseball swelling like in my upper right abdomen, he can't see me until Sept.17!! I felt like crying. I called my GP and explained and he told me he'd fill out my STD so that I can stay home until I see the GI and get some testing done. My Oncologist hasn't called and that is a blessing in itself, but I still can't eat and these unsalted crackers and water are getting old. Guest guest Posted August 26, 2005 Report Posted August 26, 2005 Hi All! Just checking in. I am still not working and still have this swelling and pain in my upper abdomen. All I can do know is just eat what I can and wait for the test and the doctors results. With the No Insurance for 2 years after you get on SSI, it looks like I will be working until I am 65 or is it 70 now? I am so depressed. I want to go back to work and miss it, but I feel so horrible. There has to be an easier way. I am so sick of all of it. Who in the world thought up the brilliant 2 year wait on the Medical? " Oh, okay, you're sick, can't work, we will give you money for that and then you can turn around and give almost all of that to COBRA for the insurance that you have to have " . I've done nothing but sleep. I am so depressed and noe we have ANOTHER HURRICANE! Never a dull moment. Debbie Quote
