Guest guest
Tricia, It's great you are going for that second opinion. I didn't have that problem with my ped but have read so many stories of people who have. It makes me so mad! Anyway, good luck at your appointment, I hope this ped has experience with plagio and banding and is able to address your concerns. & Aidan in CT 12 months doc band 7/21 --- In Plagiocephaly , " trixieb26 " <beamanfamily@e...> wrote: > Hey everyone! > > I just wanted to update everyone that has been so wonderful to > respond to my posts. Guest guest
Tricia, I'm so happy to hear that you are getting a second opinion! Our son, Jack, had obvious plagio when he was two months old. The Ped keep saying that he would grow out of it. That wasn't the case at all! In fact, it got much worse as he got older. Finally when Jack was 9 months old we told our Ped that we were going to take him to a specialist and insisted that he give us the refferal. He did. My husband's philosophy has always been that doctors are employed by their patients. We, the patients, are the one's that ultimatly make the decisions. I've finally come to agree with this, especially after Jack's situation. After visiting the neurologist, it was discovered that Jack had a severe case of plagio - he was casted within 5 days because he was already 10 months old. I'm so pleased to hear that you decided to take matters into your own hands and get the second opinion - if that fails, then demand to see someone who specializes in plagio - you will be glad that you did!! Good luck!!
