Guest guest
Naomi; I registered for the conference today on-line, and there was no charge, although I had to give my name, mailing address, e-mail address, phone#, and fax#. As far as I am aware, the conference is " open " and is not " invitation only " . There is of course a hotel fee of $153.00 per night for single and double occupancy, plus tax: http://www.scgcorp.com/primarysclerosing/hotel_info.htm Dave > What is the cost of the conference and is it open or by invitation only? > > Naomi Herman >
Guest guest
Dear Dave, I just signed my husband Bill up for September as well. If possible I will go with him as well. I made sure that I made the hotel reservations. Guest guest
Lee & , I'm thinking about attending the conference in September, too. Of course, I'll be waiting until later to put in my registration - I shouldn't need hotel since this is so close for me, so I have the luxury of waiting. Even if I'm not able to come, I'd love to meet you all for dinner somewhere or otherwise find a way to say hello. I can Metro it to Bethesda, so I'm hoping that even if I feel lousy, I'll be able to make this work! It looks like the conference will be full of great information. Guest guest
and all, I just registered for this conference. As far as I can tell the conference itself is free. Transportation and hotel will be the main costs. I'll be most interested in the pediatric agenda items but intend to soak up as much information as possible and collect any handouts. Do you all think we should look into making up a brochure to hand to the doctors? Maybe one that they could give to their patients? We have enough time to come up with something very professional looking. I could come up with some design ideas in the next few weeks... I could call in a favor or two from my contacts in the printing business... Just a thought. Guest guest
Hi Dana, My husband and I just registered too. I hope that they will accept non-physicians. Several of us were talking about the possibility of making up a brochure to hand out to physicians and patients, and I agree with you that now is the time. If you could come up with some design ideas, I'll work with some other members on text ideas. If you have contacts in the printing business, that would be ideal. Please write to me offline at thesafers@... and we'll work on this together. Ricky Re: Foundation/NIDDK Conference on PSC and all,I just registered for this conference.
