Pam,

Brag all you want! He sounds like a great kid and you have every good

reason to be proud. That was ridiculous about the cop. Do you think he

just thought he was all that and thought Ben was just a punk kid and he

was trying to make an impression on him? anyway, I agree, he was a butt

hole. The tie was a wonderful touch! Smart boy!!! My daughter, Niki got

her first speeding ticket just a couple weeks after getting her license

in a school zone, going over 40 mph! It would have been a $210 fine and

6 points but the judge kind of did the same thing. Cut her a break. It

helped that the cop said she was very respectful and polite and he

vouched that she slowed down before he turned on his lights. I

explained that she had learned to drive with my Jeep Grand cherokee and

we just got the Tempo road worthy and she wasn't used to it. She said

it didn't seem tog et going right away so she floored it and then it

went real fast and she slowed down right away. The judge had just dealt

with a chronic drunk driver. We sat there listening, this guy had a 15

year history, made me soo mad! Then he gets this very pretty, polite 17

yr old. I think he was relieved and amused. Anyway, look who's rambling

now :-) .... he knocked it down to $78 but she had to keep the points.

She could have gotten rid of some of them if she had taken a defensive

driving course but never did. She is gone in the army now thank

goodness! LOL Having heron our ins was killing us! She had her first

accident on the first snow a month after the speeding ticket, then

another speeding ticket a few months later! Arrrgh!!!

That is cool seeing someplace you know in a movie. I love that movie!

have you seen Iron Will? The park they race to Como Park is just a few

miles from where I grew up. we used to have my dad's carpenter picnics

there all the time! Anyway, have fun at the jazz state thing. You can

have the sea food! :-P LOL I hope your mom and dad are on the mend.
