Hi everyone, I am new and would like to know if your mood swings are

as severe as this. As bad as feeling like your REALLY going insane?

I have these moments when I have to go to my room, and just scream. I

will get so mad over nothing. I can be home alone and get all mad

about nothing. Just watching tv alone and swing from a normal and

pleasant mood to a rage. Then, sometimes I will suddenly start

laughing for no reason. I am not normal anymore and I fear that I

never will be again. I went to doctors for years and none of them

understand and if they do, they just want you to keep returning, over

and over again, trying new things, up the dose here and there. I got

sick of it and just quit everything.

I had a total hysterectomy in 2001 at 31 years old and I am

hypothyroid. I have an absorbing problem and tried shots too.

I ordered some " synthroid " Eutirox 100 mcg ho3aa01 levotiroxina

sodica on line a while back and have been taking one tablet a day for

3 days. I still feel nuts, but I am sure it will have to take longer

to have an effect. I

there is not a doctor for 100 miles that will prescribe Armour

either. I was on synthroid before, but it never worked. I bought

that on line so I can play with my own doses.

I could be and I feel like I have MS, due to a leison found on my

brain last year. I have been told that MS and a bunch of other stuff

has to be ruled out before Fibromyalgia can be DX'ed. I know that

Hypothyroidism can mimic these and I know I am hypo.

My depression is extreme and I am at my ropes end. I do not want to

go back to a doctor, but may do it just for some test results.

Anyway, thank you for listening to me and thanks in advance for

letting me know about the mood swings.

I can tell this is a great site!

God bless

Hi BillieGail, Welcome....

If you're having trouble with docs and such.. you have an option to at

least get an idea of where you stand as far as your hypo... you can go

have your own labs done.... www.healthcheckusa.com has a package that

will check a bucket load of things for about $100

VIP Profile Plus II (Super Chemistry Plus Thyroid Panel II)

(Valued up to $590.00) Includes Total Cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and

Ratios, Triglycerides, Glucose(Diabetes), Kidney, Liver, and Heart

Functions, Potassium, Calcium, Uric Acid, Electrolytes, Iron, PLUS a

CBC (Complete Blood Count) and Free T3, Free T4, and TSH (Thyroid

Stimulating Hormone.

You need to check for a Lab 1 to get this test done.

The mood swings could definitely be another side effect of hypo... I've

had more than one occasion where I nearly went 'postal' for the dumbest

reasons... then I advanced to the curl up in a ball and don't feel

stage... I'm passed all that now.....

Don't worry about interpreting the lab results... there are plenty of

folks here that can help with that....
