So frustrated

McKenna was fitted for her helmet 2 weeks ago today. They told me

it would take 7-10 days to get the helmet in. The orthotist was

supposed to put a rush order in on it and said it would be here in 7

days. I've called 4 times this week and finally today they told

me " Yes, her helmet is here. Its been here for a couple days. We

can't get her in to be fitted until Monday at 4pm because we're so

shorthanded right now. "

Ok, what was the point of putting a rush on it? I'm worried that

she's getting too old. She'll be 10 months old on the 25th and her

therapist wanted her in it before she was 9.5 months old.

I'm so angry. I've been calling and calling because I wanted her in

it ASAP. Now we have a weekend wasted that she could be wearing it.

I think I'm also frustrated because I don't know how she'll react,

how I'll react, or how others will react to her. I just want to get

on with it and then I can stop stressing about it so much.

Is 10 months too old to have the helmet put on? Will it even help

her before her head hardens?

Thanks,

Tami and McKenna

Ouch, that's nasty! Sure does sound like something he is eating is

really upsetting him.

Try giving probiotics, and increase the amount every few days.

Sometimes kids who are low zinc will have this type of problem.

Probably. What does he usually eat?
