! I had tuna on whole wheat bread for lunch today. Nothing

else. No chips. No carrot sticks. I'm afraid I'll have a gain at tonight's

weigh in. I need to get better next week. Behave myself.

I had one can of tuna fish with some low fat mayo but I don't have whole wheat

bread. I used regular bread and I usually eat two sandwhiches instead of one. I

can't help it. One sandwhich is not enough for me. Never is. Never was. But how

dissapointing it was to go home and find my Beta fish Emmett dead! :( And then I

made tuna fish? WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME????? Oh well. I ate my fish in memory of my

dead fish. I'm sad he died but he's been sick for awhile. I don't know what was

wrong with him. He developed a very large buldge behind his mouth and it kept

getting bigger and bigger. Yesterday it seemed to have burst but the swelling

was going down so I figured he was getting better. Not today. Finding him dead

put a damper on my lunch (kind of lost my appetite) but then I discovered I only

had 2 pieces of bread left and one was the heel! ARGH!

Oh well. Drank plenty of water and feel full. Back to the gym later tonight.

Have a great one! GEORGE

And now I have 28 more e-mails! GOSH! Isn't this fun? And I don't have to get

back to work. I'm on my break now! <sticking my tounge out at Clara> And I'm all

alone too. I don't have to work anymore today if I wanted too! No one would ever

know. But I couldn't do that. I would know. And I would get really bored doing

nothing. Okay. Break over.

,

I'm sorry to hear about Emmett. That would have certainly put a

damper on my apetite also. Or I may have eaten that much more on

account of emotions. I've done that in the past, but I'm making great

progress on emotional eating since I've come back to TOPS.

I just bought a loaf of whole wheat bread last night. I'm trying to give

up the other breads since they're digested so quickly and leave you

feeling hungry again soon. The whole wheat bread did stay with me

longer than the " wheat " bread I usually eat. That's basically white

bread with caramel color added to make you think you're eating

something healthy. I'm gonna try to stay with my new resolution to

eat only whole wheat or whole grain breads.

Next time you have only one piece of bread and a heel, make your

sandwich by putting the heel portion to the inside of your sandwich.

You probably won't even notice it is a heel. That's especially true

with a gooey sandwich like tuna. You may even feel proud of

yourself for being thrifty.

If doesn't like to eat the heels from a loaf of bread, he should have gone to the baby sitter that my kids went to when they were little - - - she was the original "Child Psychologist"!! She had every kid in the house convinced that the heels were the choice pieces, and only the kid that had been the "Best Kid For the Day" got the sandwich made with the heels!! My husband and I both argue over who gets the heel because we both like it!! I usually win because I make the toast and the sandwiches!! LOL

I don't know what it is with Betas - - - I've had several and none of them last too long -

my daughter has 3 of them and it seems about every year she is replacing one or the other of them. The one my little grandson's (2 years old) room has just died and when he told mama to feed it she made up the excuse that it was downstairs taking a bath in the kitchen..LOL Needless to say it got replaced before feeding time the next night. They just don't seem to have a very long life.
