Hi Chen,

I'm trying to catch up from a weekend away, but Carolyn's fit looks

great to me. As the weeks progress, they'll begin shaving liner

away from her flat area to give her that room to row. As far as the

bulge, a band cannot push a bulge in. It simply holds it in place,

and allows the rest of the head to grow and " catch up " to where the

bulge is. The velcro is always on the same side as the flat side.

Please check out my daughter's folder (Hannah and you can see she

had the same side flatness and velcro as Carolyn. The bands did a

great job!

I just looked at the photos. She is adorable!

I see what you mean about the bulge. I also believe that CT knows

what they are doing. It looks like the band is sitting just ahead of

the bulge and there is space opened up inside the band for the rest

of the head to fill in. If the band were any looser, you wouldn't

have the holding points. If you lose the pressure, basically you have

a passive band that isn't doing the same kind of rapid job the DOC

Band is known for. In my opinion I would hang in there for a few more

weeks with this band, going to all the adjustment appointments, and

see what happens. Cranial Tech will not let her head shape get worse.

They are too experienced at this. I know it's tough.

To be honest, I didn't let myself think about anything when

was in the band. His DOC Band slid all over the place, came down so

far over his eyes that in order to see he had to crane his head back

(which cured his " chimp posture " nicely!) and never seemed to touch

any part that needed holding. His ears would fold over, his forehead

would get that " angry " look, the back would catch on stuff... The

physics of it were completely over my head. I just didn't look too

closely, went to all the appointments, and put my trust in CT. He has

achieved over 90% correction and is totally normal. CT could have

wrapped duct tape around his head, added a layer of whipped cream,

told me it would help, and I would have believed them. Have faith!

Thanks . I've seen Hannah's photo many times. Especially liked

the " Band Buddies " photo. She's famous:-) I even read some of your

web logs off other site. However, I noticed that the opening for

Carolyn is about twice bigger than that for Hannah.
