Need help with chat....unable to join.

Maybe I was too late (12:45 p.m. CT), but I tried to join today's

chat and couldn't get in. I am new to the group. Can you advise how

to join the chat? Thank you.

Hi Dawn,

I'm so sorry you weren't able to join! There may be a couple of

things you could try. Sometimes I have to completely back out of

and then try to get back in several times before it

lets me in. Another problem I had, that I have read other posters

experiencing, is that I had Windows XP. With my Windows XP, I had

to download Java to be able to get into chat. Do you have Windows

XP by any chance?

Please let us know what you may have tried, or if you need some

other help. I'm not a real computer wiz, but others are, so

hopefully they will post with some other ideas.

Thanks for the reply. I tried several times to back out of

groups and come back in but still couldn't join. We don't have

Windows XP. Was I too late to join at 12:45 CT? I will talk to my

husband about the situation and see if he might have some insight

since he's more computer saavy than me. We'll give it a try again

next week. Thanks.

Dawn,

I hope your husband can check that certain computer settings

(javascript), etc. are enabled - maybe that is the problem!

As far as I know, the chat room is always functioning and " open, "

you'd just be the only one in there if it were and odd time of day.

I tested it just now, and got in even though chat is over. I hope

you are able to get in. I usually join the evening chats on Monday

and Friday at 10pm est .
