Guest guest
Amy, I agree - and I definately agree with what Christie said, contacting manufactures with repo products, tummy time stuff.. Maybe a little later today I will do some searching and see what I can find. I will also email Cranial Tech to see about getting some pamphlets as well. You know what, maybe.. though I know you're having problems with the place, I will email Gillette, either Dr and ask him or Steve, about getting something. I will do that on my lunch today or whenever Jax will sleep! LOL LOL sleep, yeah right! Guest guest
About getting in touch with Cranial Tech, definitely do it. I got in touch with them before I even posted this message, and they're sending me packages of prevention pamphlets as well as severity assessment forms to give to physicians. > > > > > I was really really angry that I wasn't even told about > > > > plagiocephaly > > > > > until it was too late, and that doctors kind of shrugged it > > off > > > > right > > > > > until the very end when I demanded a referral to a > neurologist > > > and > > > > a > > > > > new doctor. Guest guest
Cristi, Kim in MN is doing this for us and I will be assisting her w/ getting the info out to our area once it's all gathered up and all the right contacts are made. What a difference just one person can make on this board! Thanks for bringing this up Cristi and giving us the steam to get rolling on this! ~Amy, mommy to Jaden MN,....yadda yadda yadda > > > > > > I was really really angry that I wasn't even told about > > > > > plagiocephaly > > > > > > until it was too late, and that doctors kind of shrugged it > > > off > > > > > right > > > > > > until the very end when I demanded a referral to a > > neurologist > > > > and > > > > > a > > > > > > new doctor. Guest guest
Amy, I would love to help! I have been asking everyone about possible training opportunities to tell Kody's pediatrian about. I didn't want to leave without educating him. I feel EXACTLY the same way you do. My son's well visits mirror yours. I'll bet Babies r Us would allow pamphlets to be placed in their doors. They have so many others that are interesting. I know I read most of them. Babies r Us is the major source of baby supplies in this area. I live in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metro area. Please keep me in the loop. Melany Kody's Mommy 17 months & still waiting to be casted! Guest guest
Melany, Doesn't Babies R Us conduct short classes or info sessions during the year? Sometimes I have seen they have a calender of events posted when I walk in. It would be wonderful if they'd pass out some pamphlets and demonstrate some tummytime and repo techniques, and provide some coupons, samples, etc. They'd get a chance to move some product while educating new parents and caregivers!
