Hi ,

My son also wore a Craniocap - and at the start we had a lot of

adjustments to do with it. The opening or as you said, the bubble, I

would think should be over the flat spot.. making it so that part can

grow out, the rest kind of rounding normally.

The first week or two will be a week of adjusting to the helmet and

then you should go into the orthotist to be adjusted. Bring up ANY

and ALL concerns you have at that time.

We are located in Duluth and are still being seen here at the

Gillette facility here (Amy and I go to the same place). I adore all

the people that work with my son Jaxson (you can see him in the photo

section under 'jaxson' with his craniocap. He is graduated though -

but I am still quite unhappy with his head shape.

I hope that after your first adjustment it goes smooth for you. Just

know there are bound to be bumps in the road.. adjustments to be

done. Not everyone has the same outcome and I hope yours goes better

than Amy and Jaden's journey has went so far. But, I stress to you,

bring up any concern with it and make it a point that they address!

Good luck!!

Thanks Kim! You are so very helpful. Our next appointment is next

Wednesday, so I will insist this lady address the location of

the " opening " and maybe they will have to take a bit off of the

closure so it can be tightened to his head better with the strap??
