Guest guest
Oh, I understand your frustration. My DS will be 17 months tomorrow, and we are still waiting on insurance to pre-certify the band. I would want to change neurosurgeons if mine was making me wait so long. What part of the country are you in? I'll bet someone on this site would know someone close to you. If you really think your neuro is great, maybe you could get an appointment with Cranial Technologies in the meantime. Is there one near you? They gave Kody 2 free inital consultations, and went ahead and took the pictures. They also helped me find a specialist for Kody since we got the " it will round out, " song and dance from everyone else. Their website is www.cranialtech.com. Good luck! Guest guest
Hello Kate Is there anyway you can find a Ped that will write you an Rx. Good idea is to go to CT to get an eval if you have one close to you. Guest guest
What a pain! I've never heard of that! Maybe your ped could call and speed things up for you? Or would your ped just write the script if you know thats what you want? Did they say how much longer they thought it would take? I certainly don't blame you for being frustrated! , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > I have been waiting on the neurosurgeon's office to call me back for > well over a week. Guest guest
Interesting that I posted this, got off the web, and the phone rang! It was the Dr's office. Get this, we can't be seen until July 7. She will be 7 months by then. I really want to get her in the band if we need to before then. We go to the PT again this afternoon, so I am hoping that she will call and see if we can get the appt. bumped up or if the neuro will just write the script for the band. Our ped. isn't concerned enough to write the script so I was counting on the neuro to pull through for us....Isn't it always something? In the mean time I will call CT and see if we can get in for an eval. > > I have been waiting on the neurosurgeon's office to call me back > for > > well over a week. Guest guest
Where do you live? Maybe someone in your area can recommend a different specialist with a shorter wait. Also, CT may be able to recommend someone to you. I'd give them a call and explain the situation. Can you get on a cancellation list in the meantime? , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > > > I have been waiting on the neurosurgeon's office to call me back > > for > > > well over a week.
