Annie,

Brad uses his Bumbo even though he sits independently. I like it because it keeps him in one place, and I don't have to worry about him randomly falling over. Brad's big... 24lbs and 30" tall, and he fits just fine in his Bumbo. I don't think you have to worry about Ignacio fitting into one.

I will say that if Brad isn't in the mood to be in his seat, he lets me know. He arches his back and tries to do a backbend over it. But there's no way he can get out of it once he's in it. I'm sure an older baby would be able to pull themselves out of it, but Brad's nowhere near that point.

Another thing is Brad needs to be entertained when he's sitting in it. I either have a breakfast in bed tray in front of him with toys on it, or I set up one of his play gyms in front of him so he can bat at the toys. I think the Bumbo is a great product and I wish I found out about it earlier!

Best of luck!

Hello guys... We are finally counting down the days remaining for

Ignacio's graduation. My dh and I are exploring every idea we may

get to keep Ignacio of his flat spot since it is physically

impossible to have him in his tummy the whole day and he refuses to

sit down on his own... believe me I have two little devils who have

gotten accustomed to me doing everything for them and they are

extremely laid back. One idea we got is to buy the Bumbo Baby

Seat... but it worries me that Ignacio is too big for it. I know

that the site says that it can be used for children under 14

months... But Ignacio is rather long. He is almost 11 months old

and weights 18 pounds and measures 29 " .

I would like to ask any members that are using the Bumbo seat to

share their experience and tell me what are the ages, measures and

weights of the baby using the bumbo seat as well as any points of

advantages or disadvantages this product has. I really dont want to

spend $40 on a product that may not help us... But Im willing to

try anything to keep Ignacio off his head.

Thanks.

Hi Annie-

My friend bought the bumbo. Please check out his website-

http://chris.haviland.net/BabyStory/bumboseat.html

His son Forest is 3 months younger than my son. Once started to

have head problems, my friend's and Sara started to reposition

their son, Forest . has a neat story about his Bumbo baby seat

experience.

Good Luck!
