Guest guest
Howdy everyone, Gillette in Duluth, where Jaden got his CranioCap, was having a live Radio-athon yesterday and today and thank gosh Kim (Jax's mom) in MN emailed me to let me know. I called up and they put me on the air w/in minutes to tell Jaden's story today. Kim got Jax's story told yesterday as well. I managed to get a plug for plagio awareness, stating that " you just don't know if it'll round out on it's own, and if you wanna do something about it, Gillette is the place to go " . I also stated that I provide plagio awareness and support to parents and if they wanted to contact me, I'd leave my info at the radio station. The DJ said a few people called and will be emailing me or calling me. Gillette is busy raising money to help kids w/ all sorts of problems, and I am glad I got Jaden's story told. I broke down a bit and cried, the radio guy had to keep talking till I gained my composure and could continue. I tried calling DH at work to listen (he works at the Iron Mining capital of the world as a shovel operator.... these things are bigger than 3 story houses!) and he didn't answer the cell. So I called mine control to radio out to DH that his wife was gonna be live on the radio and to listen.... well didn't ALL of the mine tune in! And DH couldn't hear me because he was down so deep in a pit w/ the shovel that the radio didn't come in! One of the guys he works w/ had a walkie talkie and held it down next to the radio for him to listen over the walkie talkie, but he didn't hear much. All the guys were radio-ing to him " what's wrong w/ your kid? " lol as they had no clue. So for today my hubby's a star up there haha. Whether or not anyone contacts me remains to be seen, but I know thousands of people heard me and that's all that matters. I got my point across, and that was that you don't have to play wait and see w/ your childs flat head, you CAN put them in a helmet, it's an option! I didn't donate any money either, I figured they already got a few thousand buckaroos from us between PT and helmet, so that was enough, lol ~Amy, mommy to Jaden 9 mo's MN CranioCap Grad! 8/6/04 Tort Resolved! 8/13/04 Started Chiro 6/29/04 mild scoliosis
