The only other possibility you might want to check out would be a neurologist to rule out any neurological cause for her delay. Guest guest Posted April 30, 2004 Report Share Posted April 30, 2004 Hello Lana It sounds like you are on track. Pt is the most important step to take with torticollis. I'm sure your daughter at 10m might not let you strech her out. Try to get her to look to her bad side with whatever you can get her attention with as much as possible and keep her on her tummy as much as she can tolerate it. Now to the developmental delays. First off I would call Early Intervention if you haven't already done so. If she qualifies then they come to your home and do therapy (for free in most states). Willow my daughter is in the program. She is also delayed. She did not crawl until 101/2months. Is your daughter pushing up on all 4s yet? Willow did that and about 3days later she crawled. Some babies don't do something until they feel ready to do so. Well, about 3days after Willow started crawling she pulled up on her knees. What I'm trying to say is that when it rains it pours. I would though just to be on the safe side get a referral to see a ped neurologist to rule out any neuro causes for the torticollis and to check up on the delay. Please feel free to shoot more ?s my way. there is a great torticollis group on as well. They have helped me soo much. Guest guest Posted May 2, 2004 Report Share Posted May 2, 2004 It's noticeable and always had me thinking but just figured it would correct itself. I just started repositioning her since I just found all this out (on my own) and the help of this group. My dr. wrote plagio on the RX but never discussed it with me, only requested PT. I looked plagio up on the internet myself, only thinking I would find it was a big word for PT, I AM LIVID!! I could have started this process a month ago, what is wrong with doctors???
