Guest guest
Hey I have a question unrelated to bands, but could someone give me some tips on what do you when your child learns to sit up on her own (from her belly) and starts to pull up to her knees in her crib? She doesn't know how to lye down herself. She has learned all of this in the last 24hrs! Do I just let her cry and eventually she'll fall over in exaustion? I do peek in on her to make sure she isn't stuck but if I keep going in there to lay her down she gets right back up and cries when I leave. Any advice from moms that have gone through this. She is almost 10mo. and a very smart girl, that's why I don't want to start any bad habits. Thanks
Guest guest
Hi ! I have a 3 i/2 year old son who did the same thing! We just let him cry it out...as hard as it was. He never actually fell over. Ultimately he would get so tired that he would sit down then lie down. Letting him cry was so hard that I would sometimes go outside and have my husband check on him. But it only took a few days and soon he was content to be in his crib. I'm sure we will have to go through it all again in a few months-Amelia (our plagio kid) is 6 months and I'm sure she'll do the same thing! Oh, I would make sure the crib matress is at it's lowest point so she can't fall out, but I'm sure you've thought of that. Good Luck! Guest guest
Hi …I know how hard it is when they start doing that. When started to kneel and stand in her crib, I would let her cry for a little bit, then go in and lower her down to her butt so she could see how to do it herself. Then if she got back up, I let her cry a little bit more and then showed her again how to do it herself. She only did it for about a week and by then she was able to sit down and lie down by herself. Stick with it, she’ll figure it out soon. Becky (’s Mom) in Pgh, PA Re: Question to some experienced moms Hi ! I have a 3 i/2 year old son who did the same thing! Guest guest
Hello My daughter Willow did this as well, first on her knees and then standing. She wasn't sure I think how to lay back down. I let her cry for good 10 to 15minutes till I was sure she was tired. Then I went in and laid her back down. Depending on her attitude we had to do this one more time, or if she seemed like she would go to sleep I would rub her back. Good luck as every child is different.
