I know it is hard but you can't punch them all. I try to tell myself that they were probably looking before because she is so cute and I am just noticing it now. Take Care

Just be proud of your baby and that you are helping her. What everyone else

does/thinks doesn't matter. She won't remember a thing and it will get better

as you go out more.

Hi Tami. Sorry about your first outing in public. I will be there right

with you. Today could be our first day, as he just got the band yesterday

afternoon. I bet we will get used to the stares eventually. It is just

from lack of information that people have about it. I see alot of that with

my kiddos with special needs. It is a great education opportunity to tell

people about it, if you choose. I know it will end up being a 30 second

speal about why he wears it and what it is. Will you be upset that people

are asking? In some sense, it really is none of their business. Some

people may ask nicely, I guess I will decide who I want to tell my speal to

and who I don't.

I don't yet know what to expect. Just know I will be there with you. I'll

let you know what our experience is. Hang in there.

I am SO sorry Tami-, People can be SO rude!!! The other day and elderly

woman was pointing at and started to laugh!!!!!! Her husband

didn't look to happy about her response, but I was SO taken back. I was

SO happy that happened later in the game than when just got his

helmet. I would have been SO upset. Thinking about it now makes me sad,

but you are right thank God our children are oblivious to the whole

thing. I have shed a few tears myself in the past, but we are doing

the right thing. It does get better.
