One way to determine whether or not a helmet/band is active or

passive is to find out what the estimated adjustment schedule is...

for a baby Angelina's age, a more aggressively designed, active band

would have an adjustment schedule of about every 2 weeks. If the

helmet is passive, you'll have an adjustment schedule of about every

4-6 weeks. For various reasons, some orthos are reluctant to put an

active or passive label on their helmet or band, but the estimated

adjustment schedule can usually flush this information out for you.

Also, some (not all) passive helmets/bands have a shorter age range

for treatment. For example, here in the U.S., the Clarren helmet is

recommended for use in babies at least 6 months old, while other

brands can be used in babies only 3 months old. The Danmar helmet,

also passive, is recommended for use only up to 14 months, while

many other brands can be used up to 18 months. If you can find out

what is the usually age range that can be treated with Angelina's

helmet, that might also help you determine what type it is - all of

the active bands we know of here treat 3- 18 months, and up to 24

months in some cases.

I hope this information is of help,
