us. We hit a deer on I-71 about an hour away from home. We are ok,

the car on the otherhand lost as did the big deer. We had to have the

car towed. We are so thankful because it could have been much worse.

My husband and I both have stiff backs but are otherwise fine. Jake

was in his Britax Marathon and seemed fine when I got him out. I

don't see any bruise marks on his legs or chest. The policeman did

send the medics to check him out but when they got there he was

walking around the inside of the van as seemed to be fine. I didn't

see it to brace myself because I was reading a book. I just heard

Mark yell OMG a deer and when I looked up I saw it on our windshield.

The deer went flying off to the side of the road (we were in the

middle lane going about 70 mph)so I'm sure he's dead.

Well we will be attempting the cleveland trip next weekend for Jake.

Hopefully Jake's head won't be hitting a growth sprut not much time

to spare when your 16 months :)

Oh want to let you all know he was watching the Wiggles in the van

prior to hitting the deer so we will be armed with the Wiggles and

Baby Einstiens!

& Jake 16 months to be cast next Saturday.

Yikes!!! How scary!!! I'm so glad you guys are all okay! I hope

next week goes better for you! We have had our share of trying

trips to CT as well. It took us THREE tries to get to our casting

#2 appt. Hopefully the second time is a charm with you guys!

Hello

So glad to hear that you guys are not hurt. I've read your replies

and the one from Deb sounds like a good one. You might want that

carseat replaced. Good luck and hope casting goes well next Sat.

,

I would have been scared out of my mind, good grief! I am so

relieved to hear that all of you are okay. Did you say you were in

a van? Did you have to have the car towed owing to mechanical

damage or was the windshield destroyed? I almost hit deer twice on

my way to work in pre-dawn fog, it was pretty scary.

Please post when you do get to Jake's casting, and let us know how

it went!

Take care,
