yikes:( yes an MRI is great but i don't want to start that yet, really.

Speaking from my experience, I had torture performed WHOOPS I mean testing

on me performed starting at age 6:( My Mom slept good nights because 'she

did it all' But I thought I was going to die:( Some tests really make death

sound great:( When I turned 18 and had control of my own body, I did

nothing till I had too. My boys now are w/o any symptom so I'm going to just

go with the blood test. Even if they show a positive result Ill not have a

baseline MRI done till they show symptoms (and this is vague I know what to

look for, they get yearly ear and eye exams) or they reach puberty) (im

thinking 15ish??) I demand that they have a childhood. I have spoke with

them about NF2 but not that it is the end of the world. I know of

soooooooooooooooooo many that have had regrowth of their ANs, and your body

can only take so much surgerical intervention. I feel comfortable with

this. They may loose hearing, but hopefully they will have a very very long

life. Hopefully, they will have great memories not tests to look back
