We were on our way from Cincinnati to Cleveland (4.5 hour trip) to

visit with Straight Ahead. He will be cast for a DOC Helmet.

Good luck with your casting and I hope that everything goes well for

all of you!

,

How sacary for your family. I'm glad everyone was o.k. I hope next weeks appointment goes smoothly.

(Mom to , 5 1/2 months, Plastic Surgeon Appt. 5/13/04)

Well we didn't make it to Jakes' cast appointment - the deer had other plans for

us. We hit a deer on I-71 about an hour away from home. We are ok, the car on the otherhand lost as did the big deer. We had to have the car towed. We are so thankful because it could have been much worse. My husband and I both have stiff backs but are otherwise fine. Jake was in his Britax Marathon and seemed fine when I got him out. I don't see any bruise marks on his legs or chest. The policeman did send the medics to check him out but when they got there he was walking around the inside of the van as seemed to be fine. I didn't see it to brace myself because I was reading a book. I just heard Mark yell OMG a deer and when I looked up I saw it on our windshield. The deer went flying off to the side of the road (we were in the middle lane going about 70 mph)so I'm sure he's dead.Well we will be attempting the cleveland trip next weekend for Jake. Hopefully Jake's head won't be hitting a growth sprut not much time to spare when your 16 months :)Oh want to let you all know he was watching the Wiggles in the van prior to hitting the deer so we will be armed with the Wiggles and Baby Einstiens! & Jake 16 months to be cast next Saturday. For more plagio info
