HI ,

What kind of band do you have?? has a DOC band, she

also has tort. When she first started wearing the band she tilted a

little more, I think part of it was due to the fact she was just

getting tired from all the travel we had been doing,we had only been

doing the home stretches for about 2 weeks when we got the band. I am

not sure about the band weighing her head down, after all her band

only weighs 6 ounces, but I imagine anything put on the head would

cause a baby with tort to react. As far as sleeping goes, has

never really had any problems sleeping with it on, I think she sleeps

longer because I am not in there " flipping " her around...LOL.

Hi ,

Zane is looking mighty cute in his helmet! It looks to fit him

great. I'm glad that he's taking to it so well so far and hope that

continues. The eyes squishing down is pretty common, we refer to it

as " angry face. " I was told it's more common in chubbier babies too

b/c they have more chub to the forehead. You can just take the band

off and readjust it if it doesn't fix itself. As long as those red

spots fade w/in an hour he should be good! As far as sleeping

advice, the only thing you can really do is be sure to not overdress

him to cut down on the sweating. It may take a little bit of time

for him to get used to sleeping in it, but most babies adjust very

quickly. Let us know how it goes!

Hi ,

I don't have any advise about the tort, but I just wanted to

congratulate Zane on his first 2 days!! They do adjust quite quickly.

Please let us know how it went for you husband while you were gone.

I am sure Zane did great.

Glad to hear he's adjusting well! It won't let me into the photos

right now, so I can't see the pics. My son Connor also has tort and

his plastic surgeon was concerned about the extra weight on his head.

I think that he did tilt more at first with the helmet, but he's had

it 2 mos. now and seems to be doing fine with it. How old is Zane?
