Guest guest
Val We spoke before about how I am still feeling hypo (apart from when I take DLPA) on 3 1/4 grains even though it is looking likely that my FT3 is top of range and FT4 is reasonably placed. My TSH is suppressed. Your suggestion was to increase my h.c from 25 to 30 for a month and see if that did something to get the thyroid into my cells as you suspected it was a case of resistance. Well I upped the h.c on 24th August and there has been no change so far. Also my last Armour increase was six weeks ago tomorrow and I am seeing no improvement. As I mentioned this same lack of response occurred with the last several raises. I am feeling more than discouraged, I am feeling frightened that I am not going to recover my health. My question is this: the fact that the h.c raise has not made a difference so far, should I carry on for the full month as you suggested or is this lack of response indicating that I could reasonably go to 35 mg h.c without waiting any longer. I need something to change for the better. My GP has written me a formal letter telling me to come off Armour and retest after being off for two months. So I am feeling pressured. They say I am not hypoT. according to the original thyroid panel they did eighteen months ago before I started self-treating. These were the figures then: TSH 1.79 (0.25 - 5.5) Free T4 15.3 (9.7 - 25.7) Free T3 4.4 (3.7 - 6.9) www.NOVACounselling.com
