Guest guest
Hello Heidi I would call the ortho to see if you can't get in sooner. If the spots/lumps were soft than it could be fluid which can be normal with bands, but not sure what to tell you about the hard lumps. You want to make sure that it's not growing out where the gaps are. Guest guest
Hi Heidi & welcome! I'm happy to hear how well Evan is doing already in his band:) Lumps can be pretty common in banding babies. This is normally just fluid retention and commonly in the ear hole areas. This is typically nothing to cause any concern and will go away after the band is off, often takes a while though. But please double chk with your orthotist, but again, it's one of our more commonly asked questions in this group & from what Iv'e read, has always been fluid retention that won't cause any harm! Guest guest
Hi Heidi, I won't echo what you've already been told, but I did want to welcome you to the group! I have an " older " banded baby too. She's 18 mos and in her third DOCband. I'm glad you're seeing great improvement!
