water exercise for CEDAngels - TAA DAA!!

happy 2's day to all my dear CEDAngel friends!!!

i have to put my two cents in here, after seeing aj's article about water

workouts. i go to water exercise classes, which are offered by my local

arthritis foundation. yesterday, i was dragging these old knees around,

limping all day at work. after i got out of the pool (a one hr workout), i

felt like a new woman! there are times when the water isn't as warm as my

body would like, so i have purchased a pair of water leggings & a

long-sleeved zip front water jacket (which are made out of a fabric which

keeps your body warm, but it's not super thick so you can move around easily

in it), as well as a neoprene vest. i highly recommend wearing water shoes,

too, cuz i've gotten athlete's foot a couple of times when i haven't worn my

shoes. there are a lot of feet in that pool & in the bathroom on the tile

floors.

i can't do regular exercises w/my knees being the way they are

(cartilage-free), so the H2O time is invaluable to me & i love it. the AF

also has a scholarship program you can ask about if you cannot afford the

full cost of the classes.
