Guest guest Posted July 23, 2002 Report Share Posted July 23, 2002 happy 2's day to all my dear CEDAngel friends!!! i have to put my two cents in here, after seeing aj's article about water workouts. i go to water exercise classes, which are offered by my local arthritis foundation. yesterday, i was dragging these old knees around, limping all day at work. after i got out of the pool (a one hr workout), i felt like a new woman! there are times when the water isn't as warm as my body would like, so i have purchased a pair of water leggings & a long-sleeved zip front water jacket (which are made out of a fabric which keeps your body warm, but it's not super thick so you can move around easily in it), as well as a neoprene vest. i highly recommend wearing water shoes, too, cuz i've gotten athlete's foot a couple of times when i haven't worn my shoes. there are a lot of feet in that pool & in the bathroom on the tile floors. i can't do regular exercises w/my knees being the way they are (cartilage-free), so the H2O time is invaluable to me & i love it. the AF also has a scholarship program you can ask about if you cannot afford the full cost of the classes. just thought you should know! water bug hugs, AnJil Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
