Guest guest
Hi , Boy, that is a long move! From NV to SC! Ok, in our database we have two Starband locations in SC, one in Mt Pleasant with a member contact email of bamagurl96@... and one in ton. I'm not sure how this would work exactly because I know that different locations charge different fees but I would just call your local office and the SC location that would be close to your new home and just " feel them out " and discuss the situation. My guess is that you will pay the Starband fee and maybe a small casting/fitting fee at the LV location and then some kind of adjustment fees at the SC location. Let us know what they say, I'm quite curious. Natasha Atlanta, GA > Hi everyone. Well, we are back from Dr. Camp (Ped. Guest guest
, Congrats on getting the script. I wish I could help, but I'm pretty new to this too. I noticed you were in Vegas and moving to South Carolina. I lived in Vegas (Summerlin)2 years ago. I moved to Ohio last March and then to North Carolina in February. My husband is a General Manager for a restaurant and we move a lot. I must admit I miss Vegas because there was always something to do. However, the Carolina's are definately beautiful. Good luck with your move. Dianna (Mom to -soon to be banded)
Guest guest
Hi Dianna, This whole process seems trial and error, in a way. For instance, the doctor we saw today was not on our plan. He is a ped ortho. Our plan (united health care) doesn't even offer a ped orth. When I called the insurance company, they told me that it is " out of network " therefore I would meet the deductable and then they'd pay 60/40. Thank God I called and asked for directions this morning. The office manager asked what insurance I had, I told her. She told me to call them back and get an authorization number for " in network benefits " . Because united does not offer this doctor, and this doctor was reffered to me, they MUST make it in network for me (For three visits only). Sooooooooo instead of paying $300. I paid $10. That was/is a blessing. Making all of these phone calls can be tough, but this is how you learn, and this is how you learn the system. I feel a bit obsessed about the whole situation, but thanks to this group, I know I am not alone..... We have lived in Vegas for about 10 years. (we live on the East side, up near Charlston and Hollywood) Vegas has been great to us, but there may be a better job opportunity for my husband in SC. (he is a supervisor at a power plant) I am a stay at home mom now ( I work about 10 hours from home in the mornings) I'll keep you posted in Vegas mama to Shane > , > > Congrats on getting the script. Guest guest
Hi , Thats great you're on the road to roundness! I wouldn't think that it would be a problem for you to continue your adjustments with the STARband somewhere else after you move. Let us know when his casting/scanning is! , mom to Hannah, DOCgrad 7/29/04 Cape Cod, Ma --- In Plagiocephaly , " " <shandell@c...> wrote: > Hi everyone. Well, we are back from Dr. Camp (Ped. Guest guest
Hi , Tomorrow I will call and set up an appointment for Shane to go to the Prosthetic Center of Excellence. I guess from there they will send off the info to United to see how much is covered. I have located a place in South Carolina which also deals with Starbands (in the database on this website) I will call them tomorrow and see how this would work. I will let you know when his casting/scanning is. I hope it will be better than the two x-rays he took at the Pede Ortho's office. Shane was screaming BLOODY MURDER! (I think mostly because he was laying on an icy cold metal surface against his bare back> Also 40 minutes past nap time). Have a great day!!! > > Hi everyone. Well, we are back from Dr. Camp (Ped.
