Hi Guys!Sorry I havnt been around much I have been having a real tough wk.Since sunday both my eyes have been killing me.I seen my pcp a few days ago and she gave me a rx for Tegretol and squared away the biopsy and neuro-muscular referals.Then today I seen the eye specialist.She did another visual field.Still the same-visual defect w/scattered spots or sumthn She thinks the TN has spread to my left eye and jaw area.She

is ordering 2 mris to be sure.They will check my eyes,brain,sinus area,and neck.And will be w/contrast!Thank god.She said contrast does matter but she is doing slices and will look at the sacral area as well.Im

a mess.Cannot go outside,it hurts my eyes to bad(and its practically dark!)And im having a hard time reading,watching tv and sometimes chewing sends this unbearable pain up my jaw to behind my eye.I miss you all and im praying for each and everyone of you.I am getting the tegretol tomorow and will continue the neurontin too so hopefully it will make it manageable.luv u all!cassy__________________________________________________________More new features than ever. Cassy, Wow you must me suffering so much. It sucks that you can't go outside. Maybe you should get a stronger pain med. I hope you are feeling better soon. You really lift us up when we are down and hope that posting brings some help for you since most don't understand. I slept through the night with no pain at all (at least it didn't wake me up) . My husband woke me up at 10 am bcs he had to leave and do some errands and my youngest step chile (Autumn) is spilling ketones and throwoing up so someone has to watch her. I don't understand why her sugar was on 400 yesterday and a little higher last night why she is having such problems today. My husband gave her a shot (she is on the pump). He gave her two and she is still in bed not feeling well. My identical sister has been wanting me to go somewhere since last

night (don't know why bcs she won't tell me what's going on) and she called today too right after I woke up and asked me yet again. She is mad at me bcs I have kids to look after and things happen where I can't do what she wants. I don't understand why she gets so mad. She knows I have kids and things happen all the time in this family. She has no kids and only 1 dog. I have 5 kids (one moved out....he is 22 yrs old) so she doesn't have to worry about when she can go. I do. I have to make plans for the kids and the dogs. Arggggggggg! Sorry this was suppose to help you and about you and I turned it around to talk about my stuff. Please feel better. We like hearing from you. Cassy, I'm sorry honey, I hope that the new medicine helps and that

they find something on the MRI. I know how the eye pain hurts. It

feels like every single tiny sound, flicker of light, or any movement

of your head hurts.

Does it help at all to keep a cold compress on your eyes at all and

try to lay in a dark room with little or no noise? I know sometimes

that is next to impossible but just checking.

Thanks Peggy. I do that when I cant take it anymore. I use ice packs

alot. None of it is helping these days but I use to lay down in the

dark with an icepack alot and it would take the edge off. I guess it is

just flared up.thanks. Hope your feeling well.

Tee hee... I have a friend who has a muscular disease. A lot of the symptoms you describe, seem to be the same ones she has. I think you should see about getting it checked out if you haven't already. It's called HSP. I think that's it.
