I've had lumpectomy, then a mastectomy a few weeks later, and a second

mastectomy 2 years after that. I think I took a total of 4

prescription pain pills, mostly in halves, as I found them very

constipating. Since the surgeries are external and not invasive,

there is not that much pain that can't be controlled with Tylenol. I

think I took more pills after lapiroscopic (sp?) gall bladder surgery

than I did after the breast surgeries! Hugs,

Hi Reba. I had a lumpectomy on Dec.20th. I found the vicodin they gave

me made the nausea I was feeling worse. The only true pain relief was

sleep. I am still feeling lingering effects of the anesthesia but Dr.

thinks I'm just sensitive to it.

Good Luck.
