Guest guest
First of all, thanks for allowing me to join this group! My name is Sandy, and I'm 43 years old. I am a single mom of three, and live in Alberta, Canada. I had a modified radical mastectomy on Nov 25, 2004. My fiance left me because I was not a 'whole' woman anymore in December. My oncologist told me that my lymph nodes were clear, and that they were able to get all of my cancer. Yeeeeehaaaaw! When I heard that, it was a better feeling than finding out I had won a lottery! When my first pre-chemo blood work was done, it was found that I am also diabetic (Type 2) Everything was pretty overwhelming for awhile. I have one more chemo treatment(AC) to go. I have been told that I will need to take Temoxifan (spelling??) for five years. I was interested in joining this group to meet other ladies who are in the same boat as I am, and who truly understand what it's like to have breast cancer. I feel one doesn't really know what we're going through unless they've been in the same situation. I look forward to getting to know you!!
