HI!

It's wonderful to hear from you, and I can't believe Kassidy is

already 2!

I do indeed remember all the work you were putting against getting a

local program started at Janeway - I can just imagine the monumental

effort that it took on your part. What a victory, though, that

Janeway Children's Hospital is helmeting plagio babies. I know it

must have meant a lot to you to personally meet , who is

getting treatment there owing to your personal crusade to make help

available in that area.

I hope you hear from any current members going to Janeway. I don't

recall any recent posts from anyone mentioning Janeway lately, but

maybe they are just reading the posts and not posting themselves. I

added Newfoundland and Janeway to the subject header to help get

their attention if they are scrolling through posts.

Would you let us know when the follow-up story is completed? I'd

love to read it myself, if they have a link to the news site.

Take care,

Christie (Mom to Repo'd Remy)

Hi Christie! Well Kassidy is doing very well. She wore her helmet

from April to October last year and in general it went well. No

major issues except the constant travel, and when something

mechanical did arise, the orthos at the Janeway helped patch it up

until we could get back to NB. Kassidy has realignment of her ears,

which were about 1 inch out of whack and her eyes, in which the

right eye was about 1/2 an inch lower than the left. She seems to

be developing the right shape to her jaw and from what we can tell,

doing very well. She wasn't banded until she was over nine months

old because we had such a hard time getting someone to listen to our

concerns and actually send us to someone who could prescribe the

helmet and/or recommend treatment. We saw dramatic results within a

few weeks, and we can honestly say that we are not one bit

dissapointed that we did it! Kassidy still has a fairly flat head.

Her Plagio was very pronounced and alot of it came from low fluid

during my pregnancy and her low body fat at birth. she will have to

have glasses adjusted and hats and helmets will be a challenge, but

it is better, and thankfully her facial features are corrected, and

what a cutie she is!!!! we are not overy concerned about Kass's

head shape as she has two wonderful aunts that are hairdressers and

who would look at her head when her face is all that! I have put

photos from our vacation in for developing and when they come back I

will post some of the cuter ones for all to see. thanks for asking

about our story. I am glad to tell it. we have lost track of the

whole plagio thing as of late..with three kids just turning three

two and one, our time is compressed.

take care and i will pop in in a few days!

Hi ~

It is good to hear from you too! Yes we did have another little one

just 11.5 months after Kassidy was born. Kacey Clara was here just

10 days before Kassidy turned 1 and just 6 days after Keira turned

2! So this year we just had one heck of a huge birthday bash for

all three who are now 3 2 and 1! Kacey is doing great. She

initially had some tort and some mild plagio, but her head is as

round as the next guys now! She is almost walking, but is still

very happy crawling. Kassidy is running everywhere and starting to

really string together sentences well, and has an evil streak!

Keira is adapting to having to run from them both! I promise to

post some pictures from our holiday when they come back!

Take care and keep in touch

Wanda, mom to too many! hah hah hah
