Nigel,

You are definitely keeping me busy this morning !! Here is an answer to your

stretcher query. Rene De Jongh is our senior Medivac specialist based in Moscow.

The reply is probably what you expected but at least it gives you food for

thought.

Best Wishes

Ian

Stretches

Picking brains time again...

Has anybody got definitive answers on what type of stretchers to use in

aircraft?

I appreciate that different aircraft/companies/countries may well have their

own ideas, but has their been any good research.

The aircraft I have available for my Medevacs are either a Twin otter or a

Beech 1100D

Regards to all,

Nigel

For dedicated casevac/medevac aircraft, can definitely recommend the

Lifeport, used very successfully in Zim.

The usual prob is medical use of a non-dedicated platform - have found

the main limitation to be the doors/steps, rather than the stretcher!!

Cheers

I'm posting this on the tortkids group, too.

Does anyone with a tort baby and a band or helmet cheat with the

stretching and not take the helmet off? I have found it makes a great

handhold and the little booger can't escape my evil clutches as

easily. Do you know if this affects his head or neck or anything?

I've had great success with stretching lately and don't take the

helmet off for stretching. The PT from CT told me to take it off,

though.

Thanks for any info,
