Guest guest
Deb, Great news! I'm glad he's growing! I've actually just started noticing a little improvement in Hannah. Gotta love those comments. I actually got more when she was younger, I think probably because she couldn't even sit up yet, let alone fall down alot. It seems like thats what lots of people assume at that newly walking stage, so maybe when they're younger people are left guessing more. , mom to Hannah, DOC #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > We went yesterday for our 1st week check. Guest guest
Hi Deb! That's so great! I'm so glad everything is going so well! Maybe he should eat double!! When sarted wearing her band I expected everyone to ask what it was for. Surprisingly, most people don't say a thing and don't even look at us funny or anything! When we travel down to CT every week we have some regular stops that we make at various McD's, etc. People have been so incredibly warm and friendly to us. I asked my Mom, who usually goes with us, whether she thought that people were going out of their way to be nice because they feel sorry for us (I think that people usually assume that the helmet has something to do with a head injury). She said no, she just thinks that they are nice people who would probably go out of their way to be nice anyway! She's probably right! A few people have specifically asked us what it was for and they are very interested and think it's just great! The only odd commeent we got was yesterday at the osteopath's office. This woman (who appeared to be a bit scattered anyway) looked back at us and quietly said oh what a neat safety helmet (do they make such a thing?--maybe?) and then she looked away to pay her copay. I didn't bother to correct her. When you go out do you just completely forget that he has his band on? I do--and then I remember why we may have gotten a couple of double takes! Guest guest
Deb, How encouraging that you already needed an adjustment! It sounds as if you caught a bit of a growth spurt, and that's always good news for correction. Has settled in to wearing his band okay?
