Guest guest
You know what we've been noticing with those that are sharing their scores... all of us on the thyroid boards seem to be of above average intelligence OR only those that are scoring high are revealing their scores.... I tend to believe the former though, otherwise why would we be here doing all the research to getting better if we were not really smart and knew that there is a way???? , if you want... post your scores in the data base over at TTSG, that goes for anyone that is curious to do a follow up at six months and see how you're doing - unless Janie wants to set up a data base here, too? Guest guest
I agree with you Topper. Last night, I did the verbal (126) and, I think, the culture (110). No more time. I will do the rest soon. Anyway, I've only been on Armour (and on too low a dose) for a month now. Kind of scary to think what it might be if Armour improves it. I might have to start acting smart LOL. What is TTSG? The Thyroid Support Group? I know I should be able to find it, but I want to be lazy all I can before my IQ goes up. LOL Please post the link. Guest guest
I've always had fun with these kinds of tests.. but didn't try for MENSA or do any of the REAL IQ tests until about the last 10 years or so... I was always so frustrated that I'd just miss by a little... and when they had the thing on TV last fall, and broke it into sections, I saw my weakness, short term memory, a symptom of hypo.. then I kinda understood.. that's is why we set up the data base so that we could see if we could see changes in our scores after being on thyroid and getting doses optimized... would our scores go up? They should if short term memory improves, right? So... for me anyway, this has been a lot of fun.... TTSG is the Thyroid Support Group... the site that and I run... but we love to come over here and play too! heheehhehhee Topper () http://health.groups.yahoo.com/group/The_Thyroid_Support_Group/ On Sun, 07 Mar 2004 09:06:47 -0600 Debbie K writes: > I agree with you Topper. > > Last night, I did the verbal (126) and, I think, the culture (110). > No > more time. Guest guest
Yep.. that's why I thought it would be so much fun... interesting... for us to do periodic IQ tests... it would be a way for each of us to see how our mental abilities shift as we optimized our meds... There is no way to study for an IQ test... it's just how your mind functions...and that is very much affected by our physical and mental conditions as it relates to our thyroid hormone levels.... For me it has been very interesting to see how I've shifted... I'm still going to stick to the original plan, though, and wait to retake the online test at the six month mark.
