Who is the DAN! doctor who is treating her for her vaccine-injury?

food allergies and eczema

Hi,

I have a 5 year old daughter on SCD for 1 month now. I am trying it mainly

for her multiple food allergies and eczema, though she also has brain injury,

seizures, autistic like behaviors, poor growth etc. I am pleased with the diet

so far because it is the first time she has tolerated the number of solids she

is on. Prior to this, she was on an elemental formula (neocate) with very few

solids. Her allergic reactions include itching and eczema, hives, wheezing,

vomitting etc. She also has 1-3 BMs a day now whereas she used to be pretty

constipated.

She is currently eating meats and poultry, bananas, pears, orange juice,

beets, carrots, squash, rutabaga, vegetable oils and calcium supplement. I have

a few questions:

1. Has anyone tried this diet for allergies and eczema and what is your

experience? Does it get better gradually? My daughter still has pretty bad

itching and eczema. Some foods seem to make it worse, which is why I am

introducing new foods very slowly.

2. Is Tropicana pure premium orange juice with calcium added ok?

3. How do you deal with meds they have to take - my daughter is on seizure

meds that we cannot stop and antihistamines that we are using as little as

possible - they have corn starch, lactose etc. is the small amounts in meds ok?

4. My daughter still has bloating and gassiness at times - is that ok?

5. Are there any other supplements I should consider nutritionally - again,

she has not tolerated vitamin supplements etc. very well in the past.

Thanks for any input you can share,

love,

Vidya

please elaborate, she is not seeing a DAN doctor, and nobody has labeled her

vaccine - injury. Her brain injury is prenatal as far as anyone can tell

-result of a virus or clot. She has not had the MMR but the DPT may have

started some of her trouble.

thats a tough one because I have never had her be completely free of

itching, so my baseline involves some amount of itching. sometimes

it is a guessing game as to what is bothering her. especially with

spring pollen season. We did a modified intro diet - since she does

not take dairy.

The freeda vitamins seem to make her more itchy again. is it ok to

wait on supplementing - will she get enough nutrition without it?

My son had " eczema " too. I read somewhere this is a major phenol

issue. (This is how I FIRST found out about a phenol prob) when I

cut out all foods high in phenols (Your case orange juice, bananas)

and started giving epsom salt baths the " eczema " was gone in a mere

few days. I mean GONE. And he even had an offical diagnosis of

eczema. I dont know if this will be your situation..but it might be

worth a shot. All that scratching, bleeding etc disappeared in

under 48 hours.

Good luck.
