Guest guest
Hi & welcome! Some parents do complain of their newly banded baby having difficulty sleeping at first, but the baby will normally adjust. Does Nickolas have brachy headshape? I've heard that often, babies get so accustomed to sleeping on their flat spots, that it is different to them sleeping on a rounded surface of their bands, so that may be his problem. I'm sorry he's having such a hard time, I can imagine how frustrating this is!! Keep us posted. Guest guest
Hi , I'm sorry that the band is affecting his sleep. Hopefully he will get used to it. My son's band didn't change his sleep habits so I don't have advice to offer, sorry, Natasha > Hello everyone: > > I'm new to the group so here goes my first question; My son > Nickolas ,11 1/2 months got his Doc Band a week ago and was sleeping > throught the night. Guest guest
Hi , Welcome to the group! I know the waking up screaming must really give you a start, and I'm sure it's no fun to try and get him to settle down after that. If he is wearing it 23 hours a day without much problem, it bodes well that he will eventually settle into the band wear through the night, and everyone can start getting their usual sleep. How does he do during naptime? Good luck with the nighttime effort, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed that he gets used to it soon! Guest guest
Hi , We also use the Connecticut CT clinic! The only advice I can offer is to be sure he isn't too warm. I think the band gets itchier if they're really sweating in it. I hope it gets better for you soon.
