Guest guest
I totally agree with doing the diet for yourself also , I do every diet with my kids and I start it a few days before them to be able to know what they are going to be experiencing. It is so good for everyone to eat healthy , unhealthy eating is the root cause of depression, anxiety , and being tired and sluggish with no energy.Just be creative you can replace all your favorite things with legal things . Almond butter is my big treat . But if you really want to detox quickly you can by drinking green juices , it works , and it will completely change your pallet. I warn you the die off is not fun , I detoxed myself of caffeine and sugar a couple of years ago , and the detox was horrendous. It goes with the saying you are what you eat , and what you can digest , Who wants to be a big fat greasy hamburger from Mcs, or a big fat donut from Crispy cream , no thankyou. You can make your own treats, donuts, cookies , or what ever you want . I keep treats in the freezer for easy access. You will also have so much more energy , Most people on a sad American diet have to spend do much time digesting all the garbage that they put in their bodies . And with us Moms being full of life and having a lot of energy from eating healthy, that will help to give us the strength to carry on the diet for our children I highly recommend it .scd for our kids and scd for the parents . Good luck everyone, Angie -----

Guest guest
Hi ,and everyone Here are some green juice recipes My feel good juice, And this one is great for detox headaches 3 collard leaves 3- stalks of celery 2 handfuls of parsley 1 cucumber You can add lemon and a little sweetener to make lemonade, but remember to start out slow with only 2 ounces and water. This juice is full of potassium and magnesium. My liver cleanser 1/4 inch of peeled ginger root 1/2 of a fresh peeled beet 1/2 of a apple or pear 4 peeled large carrots This is very cleansing , and is great for detoxing the liver, I would suggest start out with one time a day and only 2 ounces of juice with water. Kale , spinach, turnips greens , and collards are a great source of vitamin b 6 ginger, parsley and carrot are good sources of zinc. My juice for sugar cravings 1/4 inch of fresh peeled ginger 4 large peeled carrots 2 handfuls of fresh spinach, or kale My juice for salt cravings 2 handfuls of parsley 2 handfuls of fresh spinach 4 large carrots peeled 3 stalks of celery I hope this helps , and good luck , it is amazing what fresh green juices can do for the body , I know others that have started juicing on my recommendations and they are seeing incredible benefits , and is does wonders for the skin , It makes them have a nice healthy glow. It will alkalize the body , And the lemon is also alkalizing and it will mask the green flavor of the juice until their pallet changes . Take care, Angie Re: die-off question (detox)/Carol P. Guest guest
Hi Carol, When my husband started the diet he had die-off for a day or two. He didn't get the massive die-off some do. He was just a bit lethargic and cold like symptoms. After that his energy level went way up and says he now feels like when he was a teenager. Sheila UC, 20 years -- in remission after 37 mos SCD mom of SCD 22 mos > This does sound really good but my only concern is what if we both feel really bad----who will take care of both of us ??? I do eat the same things she does except I haven't dropped the white sugar for me. I just think I need to be ok for her right now. Does that make any since??
