Guest guest
Thanks for the feedback- Does it make a difference that when I adjust it (every 2 minutes because it is wobbely) that it fits and looks pretty good? The ortho gave us his home number so I may call, but he saw all this stuff yesterday when we got the helmet. He said it would be wobbely for awhile- In his defense it does not look like that once you adjust it a bit- what do you all think? Do you think that in a couple weeks he will grow into it so we wont have to adjust constantly? -- In Plagiocephaly , " Amy in MN " <skisum88@h...> wrote: > Howdy , > In my opinion, everything looks very crooked and not right. Guest guest
It is common for a helmet to shift some as they grown into it but that would usually be side to side shifting. It should still sit symmetrical on his head. Guest guest
Hey , I do see your concern. I don't think the band should shift to be so crooked like that. In one picture it looks as though it's interfering with his sight (it's too low over his left eye), which shouldn't be. It looks like it's digging into his left cheek too. It would be really nice if they could trim those sideburns away from his face some so he could have his peripheral vision as well. The sideburns look really think, but the ear cut out doesn't look too bad, except for the image #7 you posted. That same ear looks fine though in image #12 though, so it must just have to do w/the band drooping on that left side. I'd ask for an adjustment and see what they can do. It's actually a good thing though that they were conservative on the trimming b/c once you cut too much it's too late! You want the most coverage as possible to get those pressure points, but there definitely has to be a good medium. Is he getting any red spots? As far as the staring, defintely decorate his band. Putting the name on it really helps as an icebreaker to get people to talk to him or you and not just stare or make comments. You could also do a cute " Under Construction " theme w/trucks and stuff. Check out www.scrapbookbargain.com for some good stickers (the Susy Ratto Brush Letters are great!). Pretty soon you won't even notice the stares. We actually recently had someone staring so rudely and intently on Hannah that she tripped over a curb and fell flat on her face! It gets easier!
