Hi Group

I was recently informed that this code (97002) is used only if an unexpected

change in status occurs. So if all that you are doing is an update to the

doctor to state progress, you can't bill the carrier for the report time using

97002. As well, if the patient is a Medicare patient and you are writing up the

recertification to continue care for an additional 30 days, same thing, not

supposed to bill this either.

So what instances do you bill 97002 re-eval code?
