Guest guest
Zoe is almost 10 months old (8-20-03). I know my wife and I can handle the streching 15x a day, I'm just wondering about the grandma's being able to do this. They watch her 3 days out of the week while we're at work. www.jealouspug.com are some pictures thanks, Matt >From: " john and kelly " <docbandbabies@...> >Reply-Plagiocephaly >Plagiocephaly >Subject: Re: Helmet being too low?/Tort Exercises >Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 14:27:57 -0000 > >hi matt, > welcome to the group. first about the helmet...kathryn's hung >alittle low also in part because that was where they were " holding " >her forehead. after our first adjustment it was fine. sometimes it >still pushes her eye down a little, but the therapist and even her >dr. have said it will not cause any problems...my new motto is " if i >have any doubts ask the therapist or her dr. till i am satisfied with >the answer " > now about the PT for the tort. how old is Zoe? most babies >hate being restrained in any way. kathryn is 9mths and PT sometimes >is an adventure in restraining her. she also used to just scream >when doing the exercises. we bought a musical turtle that lites up >and we place it to her side when we do the " twist " and then i use my >hair to tickle her nose when we do the " pullover " sometimes i use the >remote control as an incentive (we gave her an old one to play with) >to look to the side. and i always make sure to praise her on how well >she is doing and i give big huge hugs at the end. hope that helps. >kelly(mom to kathyrn,plagio/brachy/tort,banded 5/03,texas) > > > > > Hello, and thanks for the welcome. > > > > Zoe has a helmet probably close to the " DOC band " . Guest guest
Hi, My mom also watches my children while I work. My twins (7 mo.) love Baby Einstein videos. She uses those during the exercises and sometimes he doesn't even complain. Those videos have been a real life saver in the distraction dept. Thanks, Re: Helmet being too low?/Tort Exercises>Date: Mon, 14 Jun 2004 14:27:57 -0000>>hi matt,> welcome to the group. first about the helmet...kathryn's hung>alittle low also in part because that was where they were "holding">her forehead. after our first adjustment it was fine. sometimes it>still pushes her eye down a little, but the therapist and even her>dr. have said it will not cause any problems...my new motto is "if i>have any doubts ask the therapist or her dr. till i am satisfied with>the answer"> now about the PT for the tort. how old is Zoe? most babies>hate being restrained in any way. kathryn is 9mths and PT sometimes>is an adventure in restraining her. she also used to just scream>when doing the exercises. we bought a musical turtle that lites up>and we place it to her side when we do the "twist" and then i use my>hair to tickle her nose when we do the "pullover" sometimes i use the>remote control as an incentive (we gave her an old one to play with)>to look to the side. and i always make sure to praise her on how well>she is doing and i give big huge hugs at the end. hope that helps.>kelly(mom to kathyrn,plagio/brachy/tort,banded 5/03,texas)>>>> > Hello, and thanks for the welcome.> >> > Zoe has a helmet probably close to the "DOC band".
