" And if so Marjan can someone PLEASE help me with the Nut yogurt I

cannot get it right, and also he cannot do almonds what do i do? "

Tell me what problems you encounter. Please be so kind as to answer

the questions below:

What kind of starter do you use?

Where do you store it?

How do you grind the nuts?

Do you use whole nuts to make milk?

How many minutes do you blend the nut milk?

Are your utensils clean?

When, at what stage do you add the starter?

Did you stir the starter well?

What kind of sieve do you use?

Do you know the fermentation temp?

How many hours do you ferment?

Did you cool the yoghurt overnight?

Did you drip and how long?

If almonds are out, do have a try at whole blanched hazelnuts, aka

filberts.

Hi Crystal,

A few thoughts on this:

1.) Are you dripping the yogurt? Some people do not tolerate the whey protein

that it is in the the undripped yogurt.

2.) It is a good sign that the gas that he passes is not smelly. That means

that he is improving.

3.) Are you using any enzymes?

ALso, how come whenever he has reactions to anything, be it yogurt or any

other food, why do they come out when he is sleeping and waking up

Maybe the reaction makes him sleepy and allows his body to process. Just a

guess.

This is my third try at yogurt (goat) he had about a teaspoon the first

day, and that night he was screaming red cheeked , gassy and mucousy and

bloated. The second day he had about 1/4 to 1/2 and he was immediately bloaty

, but

seemed fine otherwise. Today he got about 1/2 to 1( sorry no measurer) and

he woke up SCREAMING red cheeked , bloaty and gassy. It quickly passed about

15 minutes in and he is fine now.

Hi Crystal,

Sorry for the delay in answering your post.

It seems that there is quite a difference between using 1/4 of a

teaspoon and 1 teaspoon! Should you ever want to try the goat

yogurt, then just try 1/4 of a teaspoon without increasing it for a while.

I also agree with the suggestions that Sheila gave you;enzymes and

dripping the yogurt are a big help.
