Hi Diane,

Some airlines let you change the dates of your ticket w/out losing

it as long as you use it w/in a year. Have you thought of looking

into that? That way if she did get an ear infection and couldn't

go, you'd still have that credit. If you chose the Phoenix office

but then needed an emergency adjustment, I'm sure you could go to

the Calgary office for that one appt to avoid the high last minute

airfare. I'm not sure about the Calgary office, but I remember

others on the board have gone to a different Cranial Tech for an

adjustment when they've been on vacation or something. Good luck

with your decision!

Hi Diane,

We drove 550 miles one way (Maine-Connecticut) for our son's treatment. It was

about 8 hours of driving time plus breaks. No way we could have gone down and

back in the same day. We always stayed overnight. If you prefer to fly to

Phoenix have

you thought about the possibility of getting treated in Phoenix (if that is your

preference) and driving to Calgary if problems arise between adjustments?

Good luck,

Mark (dad to , DOCgrad 1/19)

Hi Diane

I think Mark's suggestion here is a good one. Plus what I did when

I flew with Willow is that I had her ears looked at 2days prior so

IF anything came up the antibiotics cleared it enough so she could

fly. We had to do this 3x now. Plus motrin works great on the

ears. Good luck and let us know how you decide

Hey there :)

Trey and I are currently at the Calgary Location in the Alberta

Children's Hospital. The people there are AMAZING. Not only are

they super nice, but they're incredibly professional, they really

listen to what you're concerned about, and they definitely know their

stuff. When I've had problems with Trey's fitting, they've done

their best to accomodate me and get me in at the soonest time

possible. I called them on a Monday morning at 8:00 am before, and

had Trey in for a fitting at 11:00 that same day. They were great

with the information they gave me and do their best to accommodate us

and our needs. I'm sure the CT people in Phoenix are just as great

though, but I am definitely happy with my experience at the Alberta

Children's Hospital.

Hope that helps!
