C,

I am so sorry but ojibwa tea is illegal. It contains Slippery Elm and

burdock. Slippery Elm bark is illegal and so is burdock. Its chemical

composition contains inulin.

I have never tried it.

Below are some websites with information about its chemical structure.

All the best,Mimi

http://www.ojibwatea.com/uses/brew.htm

The original essiac decoction is a blend of four herbs in certain

proportions -- Burdock root, Sheep Sorrel, Slippery Elm bark and

Turkey (or Indian) rhubarb.

http://members.iinet.net.au/~essiac/xxburdoc.htm

The chemical composition of burdock (lappa), the roots of Arctium

lappa or other species, and pomaces obtained during the production of

burdock juice was determined.; The pomaces contained 11% proteins, ca

19% lipids and almost 34% inulin. Amino acids composition and the

nutrition value of the proteins from roots and pomaces were also

investigated. The results obtained indicate the burdock pomaces as a

source of inulin. (4 references)

(NB Inulin is recognised as an effective immune stimulator. This

footnote is NOT by the Author of the above paper.)

We used Obijwa Tea for for 6-9 months a year or so ago. we felt

strongly about it at the time but after a while I think I just

chalked that up to being GFCF for that period of time. (It takes

about 8 months to get the gluten out of your system) But as earlier

stated...Not legal.

Thanks Mimi and for the info. I guess we won't be trying that
