Guest guest
Thank you for your response. It's nice to hear from someone else using CT in San Diego. My experience with them has so far been wonderful. They are very kind and helpful. I wish your daughter lots of success. My son is 7mo. old and I was always told not to worry about his head. I think I've only continued to question it because our friend's son has plagio and that made me really look at my son's head. We went to CT and they categorized my son as moderate. He just barely made it into that category so we are really questioning whether to go ahead with the band or not. Currently we are repo'ing and hoping to see some results that will sway our decision one way or another. We don't want to wait too long though. I will try and post a picture soon so I can get everyone's opinion. If you don't mind me asking, how many standard deviations was your daughter off " normal " ?? My son was at 2. I just don't know how much correction we can expect and that worries me. The whole process is overwhelming and scary!! It does help to know there are other parents out there experiencing similar situations. Thanks again for your input!! G ood luck with casting on Tues. I'd like to hear how it goes for you and . > > Did you take your child to see a specialist before have CT do the > > casting?? Guest guest
, I have this big pkg from CT with all the measurements but not sure what it all means. Sorry. She has Moderate to Severe flattening. I will ask them tomarrow when she is casted. I wanted to let you know it took a long time to get an approval from our insurance company for the band! I called them every day for 2 weeks to let them know I was not going away. The older the child is the longer the band will have to be on. At 7 mo the Band will be but a fleeting memory but at 10 mo we are expecting to have it on for 4 mo or more. I really wish I had started the process sooner. Maybe you should proceed with the referal to CT. It can take 3 weeks for approval from insurance co. If at that time you do not want to proceed, no harm no fowl. If you deside to do it, earlier is better. Hope this helps. > > > Did you take your child to see a specialist before have CT do > the > > > casting?? Guest guest
was cast for her DOC band last Tuesday! Everything went great. The suggestion of bringing a lollipop was right on. The casting process took 10 minutes. She finished a bottle, played with toys and sucked on a binky, but after 5-6 minutes the only thing that helped her mood was the lollipop! She is waiting for the band to be made...takes 10 days. She is 10 months now. Took almost two months for whole process...from consult at CT to getting Ped to send in a referal to Cigna, waiting & calling everyday for approval from insurance, banding and now waiting for the band. Wish I had started sooner. Correction would have been faster. Oh well, Just glad its underway. will keep you posted on her progress. daileybaby03 <melwoodplace@...> wrote: Thank you for your response. It's nice to hear from someone else using CT in San Diego.
