Guest guest Posted March 30, 2004 Report Posted March 30, 2004 (9 mos.) got his Starband yesterday. The first time the orthotist put it on his head he cried and I gasped. I guess I wasn't prepared for how it would fit before being adjusted. It came down to his eyes, his poor round cheeks were squished, and his ears were smushed (yes, that's the technical term). She adjusted it several times and it looks and fits much better. Yesterday felt more like it was 2 days long. Today he's wearing it 1 hour on, 1 hour off except for naps. Each time I've put it on so far, he cries but then seems to get used to it. Please keep your fingers crossed that he'll adapt quickly...and that my anxiety subsides.
