I'm cullinary challenged so please take pity on me and my insane questions.

how am I to get the skins off of shelled almonds? Can I boil them off??

how much nut butter is equivalent to actual nuts or not flour?

Hi ,

To get skins off you blanch them. It's been a while, but blanching is done by

dropping them in boiling water for 10 -20 seconds, then dropping in cold water.

They should pop out of the skins pretty readily. I have usually lightly toasted

them after blanching before ginding them into flour.
