Guest guest
Can someone help me? My DD wore a Cranio Cap for 3 months and then outgrew it. We just got a Hanger Band today and I think it is too close to her eyes. I asked her like 3 times about it but she swears this is the way it is suppose to be because of pressure spots, but she has to move her head back weird to look up at me. If you have a Hanger Band can you look at my DD's picture is the pic section and tell me what you think? Her name is " Hope Emma " . Guest guest
Ann- My son has had his Hanger helmet for 3 weeks today. I had the same problem with him. In fact, his Hanger helmet would even fall down over his eyes and his eye would swell up! You can check out his pics under Asher. There's a good front shot of how low the helmet goes (you can ignore the ones about the messed-up fit, it's a whole nother story!). Note that the way Asher's helmet fits over is brow is AFTER they've shaved off a bunch already! Keep me posted on your sweetie! Guest guest
Hi Ann, We have many Hanger users. Some hanger facilities use the hanger cranial band, while others use the STARband. Hope's looks like a STARband to me, but do you know for sure? If you look at Colin W's pics, that's a good fitting Hanger band. I would say that Hope's is too low. It also looks like it's really digging into her left cheek in the picture you posted, so be sure to watch that area carefully. I know that they do want to keep the bands as low to the eyebrows as possible to get the best holding area, but it shouldn't interfere w/her vision so much. My Hannah has a DOCband, but with all three I could see her eyebrows when looking straight on at her. To me Hope's looks like it could use a little trim. It will ride lower than you're used to w/her cranio cap I'm sure, but I really think it needs to come up a little. I like the pattern you picked, and that's another reason I think it may be actually a STARband b/c that looks like an orthomerica pattern transfer. , mom to Hannah, DOCband #3 3/30 Cape Cod, Ma > Can someone help me? Guest guest
Ann, I'm having a hard time locating photo albums of Hanger Cranial Band Babies! Here are two babies in Hanger Cranial Bands in the photos section. Neither one of these Hanger bands seem quite as close to the eye area as Hope's: Michele, Mom to Colin (our plagio kids folder under Collin W.) Leanne, Mom to (our plagio kids folder under -Leanne) In addition to those babies, I know of two other moms, but I don't think either of their babies has an album here. 's a fairly frequent poster, so hopefully she will see your post and reply with some advice (Nate has been doing well in his band.) Janet doesn't post very often, although I'd love to hear how Tavin's doing since he's in the Hanger band here in my state of Kentucky; I may just shoot her an email myself!: kjmcpo@... , Mom to Nate syllicat@... Guest guest
Hello Ann My daughter Willow was in a different band, but to me it does look like Hope's band comes down a bit too low. Maybe they can shave some off next time you go. Watch for any redspots as well. Good luck and let us know how the appointment goes Sandy Willow's Mom Germany > Can someone help me?
