Guest guest
, Hope the birthday party went well. I cannot imagine having 5 extra 4 year olds over!!! I am sure that when Aidan turns 4 I will be closer to handling that. Gosh, I don't know what to tell you about that band. Are you seeing now? I would personally call and have them check the fit of the darn thing. They are providing a service for you, and you ought to be happy with it! And if they think you are a big pest, then so what? Be a pest! LOL I know I was a pest there. I called Ellie's voice mail more times than I can count. Let us know what happens! As for Aidan, he has been sick at home. He has had pneumonia/RSV 4 times since November and it is getting old. Each time he catches a sniffle, it settles into his lungs, and we battle keeping him out of the hospital. Another victory for us this go round! Grr...Now if we could only get rid of the diaper rash...thank goodness for bag balm. > > > > > > , > > > > I have been off the board the last few days with Aidan and his > > recurring pneumonia and was wondering how Abby's STARband is > doing. > > Last I heard it was needing another adjustment. Guest guest
- Yep, we survived the party - it was actually quite fun and Madeline (my oldest) was very polite and gracious - amazing for a 4 yr old! Now we have another one to get ready for on Saturday with our families. I think I will call tomorrow and beg her to squeeze us in again (she's SOOOOO busy) to check the fit. It just doesn't seem quite right to me... it rides a lot higher on her head than the first one did, and sits higher on her forehead too. And one ear is starting to rub a little. Is it possible that she could have outgrown this one already? The ear spaces (what else do you call that part?!) seem to be lined up wrong or something. I know that STARBands aren't supposed to get too small like DOCs do, but I don't know how else to explain the poor fit already. I really hope Aidan feels better soon - RSV is my nightmare. Neither of my girls have had it (knock on wood!), but with two preemies, I have feared it more than most other illnesses. Especially with Abby, since she was in neo for a week with resp distress & premature lungs at birth. Hang in there... we'll keep your family in our prayers. Oh, and ask the neo team or pharmacist there at Spectrum about the " Magic Butt Cream " that they use - it really works fast on even the worst rashes! I'll let you know what says... if I can get ahold of her! > > > > > > > > > , > > > > > > I have been off the board the last few days with Aidan and his > > > recurring pneumonia and was wondering how Abby's STARband is > > doing. > > > Last I heard it was needing another adjustment. Guest guest
Hi : Happy bday to your 4 yr old! My Abby just turned 4 a few wks ago too, it's such a fun age isn't it?? Into princesses, barbies, make believe, what a riot. Hope you had a nice party. Don't ever feel like a pest when it comes to calling your orthotist! That's what they're there for. I'm happy to hear the red spot is gone and all seems to be going well. Please keep us posted. Are you trying to explain the ear holes as being somewhat assymetrical? Like one ear hole has a larger gap or opening and the other one is pushed too far forward or back rubbing her other ear?
