Guest guest
Our clinic is looking into setting up a wheelchair clinic and I wanted to get some feedback from the group on the billing. We are planning on utilizing 97542 " Wheelchair Management(eg, assessment, fitting, training) " for our billing. My question is regarding the use of this code. My understanding is that we can bill for time spent taking measurements, trying different seating systems, and teaching the patient to use their chair. I felt like we could also bill for time spent with the patient in family conferences and discussions with the wheelchair reps as long as the patient is present for these meetings. Is my understanding of the code correct? I appreciate everyone's feedback and welcome any pointers from those of you with any experience doing a wheelchair clinic.
