Guest guest
Well, now I'm confused. Are we not supposed to be doing probiotics and yogurt, BOTH? Do I not need to be giving him probiotics if he's eating the yogurt? in NC Mom of Luke, age 5, Asperger's/salicylate intolerant/diarrhea pre-SCD; , age 3, healthy; and , 19 mos, healthy All SCD since 1/26/04 Re: nut yogurt questions " Thanks, and so does this take the place of adding probiotics to their diet, or is this in addition to? " Instead of probiotics " How much yogurt would they need to eat a day to meet what Elaine thinks is an acceptable level? " What's really important is building up. I give about 1 1/2 cup a day now. After 3 months of building up gradually. (Please note, for anyone coming in in the middle of this, This does NOT mean that you should give yogurt if your child is sensitive to dairy and/or you have decided to be dairy free. The use yogurt or not guidelines are still the same as stated on pecanbread.com. ) That is, she is saying to give both. But she doesn't have a huge long scientific explanation. -- Sue, mom to Adam and
